Discover places along the way
This is the bit that is hard to do any other way. Instead of searching town by town along a 200-mile drive, Overnighter sweeps a corridor either side of the route and shows you what is in it — five miles by default, adjustable up to 120. Spots further away stay off the list until you widen the search; they would mean a detour you did not plan.
